Kent striker Jordon Cox was shocked after he was sidelined by a referee on the field in the District Championship Division One match against Hampshire on Sunday. Cox was ruled out after the referee considered the batsman to have sidelined the ball to a short leg. However, when one sees the replay, it clearly shows that the batsman is putting his foot on the stump and the bat is tucked behind. The referee raised his finger and Cox stood there in disbelief.
Cox seemed to be trying to divert a pass thrown outside by Felix Organ.

Cox’s dismissal came in Kent’s second half where Oliver Robinson’s side followed suit. Cox scored 64 runs before he was judged by the referee on the field. Joe Weatherley was a pitcher on short legs when Cox was sent off.
In the end, Hampshire beat Kent by one innings and 51 runs at St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury.
