Watch ‘Kashmir File’ To Find Out How Terrorism Gripped Kashmir During Congress Rule

India rose in the position of a major exporting country under the leadership of PM Modi: Amit Shah

Union Interior Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said people should watch “The Kashmir Files” to find out how atrocities and violence gripped the Kashmir Valley “during Congress rule”, talking about a film depicting events that began when the BJP -backed government was in power at the center.

The senior BJP leader was speaking at a program organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

“Those who have not watched it, must watch the film to know how atrocities and violence gripped Kashmir during the Congress rule,” he said referring to the film showing incidents that took place when Vice President Singh’s government, backed by the BJP, ruled the center.

“When you made Narendra bhai (Narendra Modi) Prime Minister for the second time, he had issued Article 370 on August 5, 2019. By the time Narendra bhai decided to do that, people across the country realized that if a leader has a strong will as Narendra bhai leads the country, nothing is impossible, ”he added.

“The Kashmir Files”, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, revolves around the forced migration of Kashmir Pandits from their home state after Pakistani-backed terrorists targeted the community in the early 1990s. While it has also sparked debate over the way the Kashmir Pandits tragedy is portrayed in the film, several BJP -ruled states have exempted it from entertainment taxes.

Meanwhile, Mr Shah also said that the country had risen in the position of top exporting country under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Speaking at another program in Gandhinagar earlier in the day, he said the BJP’s “massive” victory in House elections in four states was proof of the acceptance of policies and projects undertaken by PM Modi to make India “safe, prosperous and powerful.”

“And in these four states, the Congress is over, it cannot be seen anywhere. The massive victory reflects the faith of the Indian people in the leadership of Narendra bhai,” he said.

The Union Minister laid the foundation stone for a project worth Rs 367 crore including under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Gandhinagar, his Lok Sabha constituency.
