Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today claimed that Maharashtra alliance leader Sharad Pawar had been threatened by a Union Minister. Whether Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Amit Shah allowed such threats by their ministers, Mr Raut questioned.
“He is the son of Maharashtra. They are threatening him. Modi ji, Amit Shah, have you heard? Your minister threatened Sharad Pawar – do you support such threats? Maharashtra wants to know,” said Mr Raut, who is among several Shiv Sena leaders still with the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after the uprising that resulted in the party’s MLA majority siding with rebel Eknath Shinde.
Mr Raut had previously tweeted the allegations.
“A Union Minister threatened that if Sharad Pawar tried to save Maha Vikas Aghadi, he would not be allowed to return, he would be stopped on the road. If this is what the BJP did then you declare it. Whether the government stays or goes, such language for Sharad Pawar is not acceptable, ”tweeted spokesman and MP Shiv Sena.
