New Delhi:

Western nations are ready to warn Russian President Vladimir Putin today that his country will pay the “destructive” cost of invading Ukraine during a one-day trio of NATO, G7 and EU summits to be attended by US President Joe Biden.

Worried by the prospect that Russia might step up war with its neighbor after a month -long severe conflict, 30 NATO countries will also agree to send equipment to Kyiv to withstand biological, chemical and nuclear attacks.

The determination to punish Moscow with massive sanctions will be underscored by an emergency meeting of the G7’s advanced economies, including Japan.
