Ukraine Honors War Courage With ‘Oscars’ For Viral Video

Many cities in Ukraine have been destroyed since the Russian invasion began on Feb. 24.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has released a list of infectious videos from the war for a month, giving awards to them under various categories. From drone footage, to displaced Ukrainians singing in bomb shelters, the tweets have paid tribute to the courage shown by the country’s citizens.
Under the Best Cinematography category, the ministry has released a video of a Stinger missile destroying a Russian helicopter. The tractor towing a Russian military armored vehicle has won the award for Best Supporting Actor from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The Best Picture Award was given to the courage shown by Ukrainian soldiers defending Snake Island, who told Russian warships to “Go F *** Yourself”.
The song by a group of citizens at a bomb shelter in Ukraine’s second -largest city, Kharkiv has been dubbed the “national anthem” by the ministry, which gave it the Best Song award.

Ukraine said on Tuesday that Russia is continuing missile and bomb attacks in an effort to completely destroy the country’s infrastructure and residential areas.
Russia, meanwhile, says it destroyed a large ammunition depot in Zhytomyr province and hit 41 Ukrainian military sites in the past 24 hours.
Russian troops seizing the Chernobyl site drove armored vehicles without radiation protection through a highly toxic zone called the “Red Forest”, workers there said.
The United Nations human rights office said 1,119 civilians had been killed and 1,790 injured since Russia began its offensive on February 24.
Nearly 5,000 people, including about 210 children, have been killed in besieged Mariupol, a spokesman for its mayor said. “However, the city center remains under Ukrainian control,” Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The British intelligence service said that Russia still posed a major threat to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv through their strike capability.
