“The World Cup is …”: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Says This About IPL Skinny Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma 2022 -By ASC

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the two main pillars of the Indian cricket team. Such was their impact, that senior batsmen almost certainly got a place in the Indian Team in any format. However, they did not have a good relationship in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. While Kohli has scored 236 runs in 13 matches at an average of 19.67 and an attack rate of 113.46 for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai India captain Sharma has managed just 218 runs in 12 matches at an average of 18.17 with a strike rate of 125.29.

For both, this was one of their thinnest IPL seasons. While former India captain Kohli has only scored in half a century, current captain Sharma has yet to turn 50 this season. Their excellence in the T20 format is not a good sign ahead of the T20 World Cup, which will be played in Australia six months from now. Sourav Ganguly, former captain of the Indian cricket team and president of BCCI, is now talking about the lack of the two senior players in the 2022 IPL.

“I’m not worried at all about the form of Rohit or Virat. They’re too good … real big players. The World Cup is still a long way off and I’m pretty sure they’ll be in the best shape before the tournament,” Ganguly told Mid-day in an interview.

In the previous RCB match, after being placed a huge target of 210 by the King of Punjab, all eyes were focused on Virat Kohli to finally make a statement but the batsman was dismissed after scoring 20, and in the end, the team stumbled on a 54 -loss run. In the second half of the chase, Kohli had played a special feature of driving his cover away from Arshdeep Singh’s bowling and it looked like the batter was in a groove. However, he lost in the fourth match bowled by Kagiso Rabada. After the dismissal, Kohli looked up at the sky and was seen saying something.

After the game, RCB Cricket Director Mike Hesson said that Kohli was frustrated like everyone else but worked hard in the net.

“We always talk to all our players. I think Virat looks good today, he’s aggressive and he does everything outside the park in terms of good preparation. I think today will be his day but then again, it’s about the other side of the liner his thighs. He was unlucky, especially when he had set himself up, he was disappointed because anyone, thought today would be his day, “Hesson said during a virtual press conference.
