New State Mobile (formerly known as PUBG New State) will perform maintenance in preparation for the March update. The popular battle royale game for Android and iOS phones will be released on March 17th. New State Mobile’s next update will feature new content, including weapons, and game enhancements, as well as changes to the Erangel map. The March update will also add a new McLaren hypercar to the game as part of a partnership with the company. The game will also feature vehicle-related adjustments, which were first introduced with the February update for New State Mobile.
Krafton Publishing announced on its New State Mobile website that the popular game would be shut down for maintenance on Tuesday, March 17, and the March update, also known as v0.9.26 update, is pending. During this time, the game will be impossible for the players. The break is scheduled for 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. UTC (or 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. IST), according to Krafton. However, the shutdown time may be extended in case of any problem while the update is installed.
According to a video shared by Krafton, next March’s update will fix frame optimization issues for both iOS and Android devices. The Erangel map is also being updated with a new area called Avanpost being added to the map. Ferry Pier is getting a new prey area and a large factory will be added to the quarry, according to Krafton. Item and vehicle generation rates will vary, and Electron will be available at Erangel.
Last month, Krafton introduced several improvements to the game in its vehicles, which the developers called “Vehicle Meta.” The March update will add even more improvements as it changes how the shooting of a moving vehicle works. Vehicles like the Volta will see acceleration and cornering adjustments while being noisier so they can hear their opponents approaching. Mesta and Nova have also been adapted to make driving easier.
The March update for New State Mobile will also add a new weapon, the MG3, which is an automatic firing machine gun with 75 bullet capacity with 7.63 mm ammunition in 660 and 990 RPM modes. According to Krafton, he supports a sweep and a bipod to reduce the recoil in the tendency to shoot back. Upcoming updates will also add new customizations to the Vector’s C2 internal weapons battery magazine, which will bring 45 bullet capacity in exchange for a slower reload. Meanwhile, the Mini-14 also has a C2, which means players can add an attachment to a tactical action, bringing greater stability in exchange for slower ADS.
Weapon balance adjustments have been added to the March update, and the L85A3 now has more damage and effective range, and an increased range of SKS bullets. The bold action KAR98K (C1) has increased the speed, and the control of the MP5K (C1) horizontal delay has been reduced. The Mini-14’s C1 has been upgraded to increase damage, but at a higher vertical and horizontal delay. Meanwhile, the S686’s C1 now allows users to fire a single shot instead of a 2-shot blast. Krafton has also improved Choker’s diversion control, according to the developer.
iOS players will benefit from additional frame-rate optimization, and iPad mini 6 owners will be able to access the game in full-screen aspect ratio, according to the publisher. Among other optimizations, the recovery of the cooperative is faster than before. Touch stabilization has also been added to the settings. Players will finally be able to enable or disable target support – the switch does not work in the current version of the game, according to Krafton.
The publisher has also changed the method of calculating awards for the upcoming Season 2, and a new award scheme will feature a parachute cover. According to Krafton, players who maintain the Conqueror level will be rewarded with a token to upgrade their gun. The game will also add Spring-themed content to the game. Players will also be able to specify their region to match closer players, and after playing games, they will be able to “like” other players, who will appear on a new counter in a player’s profile. The March update will also add a tutorial mode for players who have just joined New State Mobile, according to Krafton.
