After the match, Karunaratne said he would be happy if Sri Lanka managed to win the match, adding that the batters did not use the conditions well.
“I would have been happy if we had won, but it was tough, we were beaten under the lights and it was tough. But I worked hard on my batting. We have a good team, the batting didn’t capitalize on these. we continued to make loose submissions, that’s what we need to work on to go further, ”Karunaratne said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
The Bengaluru test was also the latest in Sri Lankan pacer Suranga Lakmal’s international cricket.
The 35-year-old will play for Derbyshi next season in English County.
