Russia on Saturday denied Ukraine’s claim it had damaged a modern naval logistics ship in the Black Sea and showed photos of what was said to be the ship with no signs of damage.
Military authorities in the southern Odesa region said on Thursday that the Ukrainian navy had attacked Vsevolod Bobrov, causing it to burn.
In an online post, Russia’s defense ministry published photos said to have been taken of the ship on Saturday in the Crimean Black Sea port of Sevastopol.
“It is now clear from the photos that the ship was not damaged at all,” he said.
Last month the missile cruiser Moskva, the main ship of Russia’s Black Sea fleet, sank after catching fire. Ukraine said it was about the ship with a missile fired from the shore while Moscow blamed the missile blast.
