Russia Attacks 2 Central Ukrainian Cities With Missiles: Report

Russo-Ukrainian War: No immediate information on possible casualties. (Representative)

Russian missiles hit two cities in central Ukraine early Saturday, damaging infrastructure and residential buildings, said the head of the Poltava region.

“Poltava. A missile on one of the infrastructure facilities overnight,” wrote Dmitry Lunin in an online post. “Kremenchuk. Lots of attacks on the city in the morning.”

The city of Poltava is the capital of Poltava region, east of Kyiv, and Kremenchuk is one of the main cities in the area.

There was no immediate information about the possibility of death, Lunin said. Reuters could not immediately confirm the report.

Russia denies targeting civilians in a war launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, calling the largest attack on a European country since World War II a “special military operation”.
