Ramdev Loses, Threatens Journalists Who Ask About Petrol Prices

Yoga teacher Ramdev is seen losing his temper over questions about petrol prices

New Delhi:

Yoga teacher Ramdev was seen on camera losing his temper and threatening a reporter, who asked him about comments in the past about the drop in petrol prices.

During an event at Karnal in Haryana, a reporter asked Patanjali’s brand ambassador about his comments to the media that the public should consider a government that can keep petrol at Rs 40 per liter and cooking gas at Rs 300 a cylinder.

To this, Ramdev replied, “Yes, I have said it, what can you do? Don’t keep asking questions like that. Am I thekedar (contractor) who should continue to answer your questions? “

When the reporter asked the question again, Ramdev who looked disappointed, pointed at the reporter, replying, “I made that comment. Ab kya kar lega (what are you going to do)? Shut up. If you ask again, it’s not good. Don’t talk like this, you must be a good old man’s son. “

Ramdev appealed to the public to work harder in difficult times. “The government says, if fuel prices are low, they can’t get taxes, so how do they want to run the country, pay salaries, build roads? Yes, inflation should go down, I agree … But the people have to work hard. In fact, I woke up at 4 a.m. and work until 10 p.m., ”Ramdev said as his supporters sitting around him clapped.

Petrol and diesel prices were raised by 80 paise per liter each on Wednesday, bringing the total rate increase in the last nine days to Rs 5.60 per liter.

Petrol in Delhi is priced at Rs 101.01 per liter as compared to Rs 100.21 previously, while diesel rates have increased from Rs 91.47 per liter to Rs 92.27, according to the state fuel retailer’s price notification.

The central government has been under intense opposition attack due to rising fuel prices. Congress has said that the former United Progressive Alliance government has managed to keep fuel rates under control despite high international crude oil prices for several years.
