Putin told France’s Macron Russian approach to a possible deal with Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the wake of the Ukraine conflict with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Friday, telling Moscow about his approach to a possible settlement of the enemy, the Kremlin said.

“In response to concerns expressed by Emmanuel Macron, the Russian President stressed that the Russian armed forces involved in the special military operation are doing everything they can to protect the lives of civilians,” the Kremlin said in a statement.

Negotiations between Moscow and Kiev and their position on how Moscow could reach an agreement have also been discussed, without giving further details.
