Pakistani skipper Babar Azam did a light job of Australian bowling on Wednesday, setting a couple of record-breaking record results. Babar scored 196 of 425 balls, which is now the highest score any captain has scored in the fourth inning of a Test. Batsman Maverick achieved the feat on the 5th day of the second test at the Karachi National Stadium. The elegant right-hander passed the former Pakistani batsman Younis Khan to record the highest score scored by a Pakistani player in the fourth innings of a Test. Younis scored 171 against Sri Lanka in 2015.

This was not the only Younis Khan record that Babar Azam broke on Wednesday. The right-hander was also won by a Pakistani captain in the fourth inning of a test with Younis, who won 107 against Kolkata India in 2007 at the age of 15.

During this coup, he was also the first batsman in Pakistan to play more than 400 deliveries in the fourth inning of a Babar test. However, the right-handed batsman was stripped of four bullets for more than two centuries, and Nathan Lyon returned to the pavilion after the 160th inning.

The batsman went 102 away on the final day and continued from where he left off, and the Australian bowlers had no response.

The 27-year-old hit 21 fours and one six, scoring 196 of 425 submissions.

In a Pakistani phase it was reduced to 21/2 in the last innings, behind 506, but Babar along with Abdullah Shafique completed a 228-run stand for the third wicket. Shafic lost his century as Pat Cummins returned to the pavilion on the 109th entrance.

Fawad Alam came out cheap after just 9, but captain Mohammad Rizwan helped Babari in one end.

The first test between the two nations ended in a draw in Rawalpind.
