Mohammad Rizwan took a diving catch to push Alex Carey away
Alex Carey’s poor performance with the bat continued when he was sent off for five runs from 10 passes in the second ODI that took place between Australia and Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The goalkeeper was pushed by Mohammad Wasim on the second pass on the 44th shot. Carey tried to drive over but outside sidelined a long pass behind the wicket to Mohammad Rizwan, who took a low diving catch on his left. It was also Wasim’s second wicket of the day when he finished with a score of 2/56 in 10 overs.

Australia clocked 348 for eight in 50 overs with Ben McDermott clocking a century. McDermott broke 104 runs out of 108 balls, hammering 10 fours and four sixes. Meanwhile, Travis Head hit 89 runs from 70 balls and Marnus Labuschagne also grabbed half a century.
Apart from Wasim’s two wickets, Shaheen Shah Afridi took four wickets for Pakistan. Zahid Mahmood and Khushdil Shah each received dismissals for the hosts.
The visitors now lead 1-0 in a three-match series, after winning their first ODI with 88 runs in the same venue.
A 101 -run 72 -ball hit by Travis Head helped Australia record 313 for seven in 50 overs in the first ODI, thus setting a target of 314 runs.
McDermott scored fifty in the game.
Chasing the target of 314 runs, Pakistan were defeated for 225 in 45.2 overs.
