Pakistan v Australia: Rizwan takes catch to send back Aaron Finch

Pakistan and Australia were there again as the two teams competed in the first ODI of a three-match series at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Last week, Australia won the Test series 1-0 and now the visitors are hoping to repeat the success in the white ball leg. After being sent off to bat, Australia got off to a fast start as they recorded 100 runs in their first 14 overs. However, Pakistan returned to the competition after edging out captain Aaron Finch in the 15th half.

Zahid Mahmood got his maiden ODI wicket when he sent Aaron Finch back to the hut. Goalkeeper Mohammad Rizwan caught the catch when the ball came out of his glove, but he managed to hold on and Pakistan got their first wicket.

The ball broke his leg and it was tossed outwards, Finch advancing forward to defend it, but he managed to get the advantage. The ball first hit Rizwan’s wrist and it popped up, but the Pakistani goalkeeper took up the challenge and he caught the ball on the bounce.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to play bowling first. Australia started brilliantly when opener Finch and Travis Head were at their best. Finch took off after scoring 23 but he was involved in the opening line of 110 runs.

Travis Head is on fire for visitors and he’s approaching his energy. The left -handed batsman is at his best aggressive level and he can find boundaries at will.

Earlier, Australia had won the third Test of a three-match series and they won the series against Pakistan 1-0.
