The head of the International Energy Agency said on Friday that he hoped oil-producing nations would take steps to alleviate supply fears as the Russian invasion of Ukraine sent waves through the markets.
IEA chief executive Fatih Birol told a news conference that he was looking for “some good messages that could help ease tensions in the oil markets” following the March 31 OPEC + meeting led by Saudi Arabia and Russia.
