“No questions asked”: Michael Vaughan selects “the best eggshell in the world”

Babar Azam was stunned by his 196-run run against Australia in Wednesday’s second match against Australia at the Karachi National Stadium. This blow helped Pakistan pull away with a draw and Australia were shocked to be able to take ten wickets even after the 506-run goal was set. Former England skipper Michael Vaughan praised the performance and praised Baba.

Vaughan named Babar the best batsman of all formats in the world. Taking to Twitter, Vaughan wrote: “I definitely think @ babarazam258 is the best batsman in the world right now. Excellent in all formats. #PAKvAUS,” Vaughan wrote.

Australia and Pakistan drew an exciting draw and on the 5th day Babar Azam scored the highest score in the fourth inning of a Test. Azam’s 196-run hit has really kept Pakistan in a 0-0 draw in a series that will be played in Lahore from March 21st.

Babar scored 196 of the 425 balls with the help of 21 fours and one six. The right winger returned to the pavilion with Nathan Lyon in 160th place in the entry. On the final day of the game, Babar beat Younis Khan to record the highest score scored by a Pakistani player in the fourth inning of a test.


The right-hander also had the highest score achieved by a captain in the fourth innings of a Test and on the way, was the first Pakistani player to play more than 400 deliveries in the fourth and final innings of a Test.

Pakistan found 21/2 with 506 behind, but Babar along with Abdullah Shafique ran 228 runs for the third wicket, and the moment moved away from Australia.
