Maryam Nawaz: “Imran Khan Seduces Pak Tentera Until the Last Moment”: Nawaz Sharif’s Daughter -By ASC

Imran Khan was ousted as prime minister on April 10

Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan was so desperate to hold on to power that he “applied” for the establishment of a military until the last minute to save his government, claims Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz.

A powerful military has ruled a coup -prone Pakistan for more than half of its 75 years of existence and to date has wielded considerable power in matters of security and foreign policy. However, it has distanced itself from the recent high-voltage political tussle between Shehbaz Sharif and Mr Khan, saying it has nothing to do with politics.

“Imran Khan was so desperate that he, until the last minute in power, had appealed to the establishment to save his government. In fact he had asked former PPP president and co -chairman Asif Ali Zardari to help him in the wake of the distrust. Motion against him,” Maryam said at a workers convention in Lahore. late Tuesday night.

He was referring to Khan’s desperate efforts to postpone a no -confidence vote against him until the Supreme Court opened at midnight on April 10 and ordered him to let the constitutional process complete.

Mr Khan was ousted as prime minister on April 10 through a no -confidence vote mobilized by the Opposition in the Senate, becoming the first Pakistani prime minister to be ousted by Parliament in the coup -prone country.

Maryam was tasked by her father and three -time prime minister Nawaz Sharif to hold rallies, mainly in Punjab to oppose Mr Khan’s public power plans.

Sharif-against whom several corruption cases were launched by Pakistan’s previous Tehreek-i-Insaf government led by Mr Khan-had left for London in November 2019 after the Lahore High Court gave him a four-week leave to allow him to go abroad. for his treatment.

The new coalition government led by PML (N) recently issued a new passport to Sharif, paving the way for his return to the country. Sharif’s family, however, has declared that the decision on the return of the 72-year-old PML-N chief will be taken at an appropriate time.

Maryam said telling the alleged workers that the day of hardship for Khan had begun. “Imran Khan cried because Nawaz Sharif had ended his reign while sitting in London. Imagine how Imran’s state of mind was when Nawaz returned,” he said, calling his father a “long racehorse”.

“It was Nawaz’s political art that after three and a half years he managed to send Khan back to the container. It was better for Khan to play cricket because politics is not his cup of tea,” Maryam said.

The well-known PML-N leader said the corruption story of the ousted prime minister would come true soon.

“Soon Khan along with his cabinet members will be behind bars on undeniable corruption charges,” he said.

Maryam said Khan was trying to run the country through ‘jadu tona (magic)’. He said his wife Bushra’s friend Aunt Farah Gogi was involved in massive corruption on their orders and Khan helped her flee the country.

Calling the ousted prime minister ‘Tosha Khan’, Maryam said Khan sold Pakistan’s honor by selling gifts he received as prime minister from other heads of state.

“This man is talking about national sovereignty and instead selling Toshakhana (national treasury) gifts in the Dubai open market. He should be ashamed of this act for which he earned over Rs 180 million (by selling gifts),” Maryam said.
