KP Maurya, Brahmin Leader Brajesh Pathak Becomes Deputy Yogi Adityanath

Yogi Adityanath will have two deputies, as before. Keshav Maurya, who lost the election, was retained but Dinesh Sharma, who did not contest in the election, was replaced by Brajesh Pathak.

Brajesh Pathak, a supreme Brahmin leader, was the Minister of Law in the first kingdom of Yogi Adityanath. A former Lok Sabha Member of Parliament, he switched to BJP from BSP Mayawati in 2017.

Yogi Adityanath will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second time on Friday in a grand ceremony at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers in BJP-ruled states and senior BJP leaders attended the swearing-in ceremony with about 85,000 spectators.

A large stage was set up and posters were placed with the slogan ‘UP Baharu India Baharu (Naye Bharat ka Naya UP)’.

Adityanath will be writing history when he is sworn in as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for a second term in office after completing a full five -year term, an achievement never achieved by his predecessor.

A politician monk Yogi Adiyanath became a surprise choice when the BJP won the 2017 rally elections in Uttar Pradesh. A five -time Lok Sabha MP, he was elected to a key domestic role in the election by the BJP leadership.

During the election campaign for the Uttar Pradesh elections, the Prime Minister praised the work of Yogi Adiyanath and his coin – “UP plus Yogi bahut hai upyogi” (UP plus Yogi is very useful) became quite popular.

Yogi Adityanath chose to contest in the assembly election and won the Gorakhpur Sadar seat by a huge margin.

The BJP has set another record with consecutive victories in Uttar Pradesh. It was the first time the party had returned to power in consecutive elections after 37 years.

The BJP won 255 seats in Uttar Pradesh with its allies in the state also performing well. The chief minister is expected to bring the momentum of the party’s election victory to fulfill election promises and provide further impetus for state development in the second term.
