Shatrughan Sinha, who recently passed from Congress to Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress, said today Prashant Kishor, a poll strategist and former Union minister Yashwant Sinha, played a key role in his crusade.
“It was a great honor and opportunity for me to join Mamata Banerjee. His party wanted me, he tweeted that I should be in Trinamool and fight in the Asansol parliament. My older brother Yashwant Sinha and Prashant Kishor played a very crucial role,” he said. said Shatrughan Sinha to NDTV.
Asked why he left Congress, Mr Sinha said he did not think it was the right time to talk about what had happened wrong in the party.
“There were so many things. I don’t want to criticize Congress in times of crisis. My focus is entirely on Trinamool, Mamata Banerjee on Asansol,” the former Union minister said.
Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo left Asansol’s seat after leaving the BJP last year and joining the TMC.
