Joe Biden Diverts Attention From US Chemical Biological Weapons Program: Kremlin

Joe Biden said he denies that the U.S. holds chemical and biological weapons in Europe.

The Kremlin on Friday accused U.S. President Joe Biden of trying to divert attention from his country’s chemical and biological weapons program after he said Russia could use such weapons in Ukraine.

“We see this as an attempt to divert attention to some kind of imminent threat, which allegedly exists against the backdrop of a raging scandal in the world involving chemical and biological weapons programs that the United States has conducted in various countries, including Ukraine,” a spokesman said. Kremlin Dmitry Peskov.

“There are a lot of people in the world who are worried about what America is doing, what we still don’t know and what could happen because of all this research and what could potentially happen in the future,” he said.

Russia’s defense ministry this week accused Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, of funding a biological weapons laboratory in Ukraine through its investment fund Rosemont Seneca.

“Of course we will demand an explanation,” Peskov said on Friday.

“And not just us,” he said, adding that China also has questions.

On Monday, the U.S. president said it was “clear” Russia was considering using chemical and biological weapons in Ukraine and warned of a “severe” Western reaction if it chooses to do so.

He also denied that the United States holds chemical and biological weapons in Europe.

“It’s simply not true. I guarantee you,” he said at a gathering of U.S. business leaders in Washington.
