Jos Buttler was in great form while knocking out the Rajasthan Royals (RR) against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the opening of their IPL 2022 campaign at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, on Tuesday. The opening shot 35 runs from 28 balls, consisting of three fours and three sixes. Especially in the second presentation for the fourth performance, Buttler received a special applause from Abdul Samad of SRH. The goalkeeper’s batsman received a long pass from Umran Malik and he continued to attack the opposing goalkeeper, and it crossed the border to the maximum.

Initially, SRH captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to play. Buttler’s opening partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal, was sacked after getting 20 runs from 16 deliveries. The young opening also faced two crawls and six.

The Englishman was finally stopped by Malik in the ninth match. In the first ball finished ninth, Buttler received a long pass from Malik, around the match. Trapped for space, he finally gets an outside edge as it goes to Nicholas Pooran for an easy catch.

Sanju Samson 27 balls 55 and knocks 41 (29) and 32 (13) respectively from Devdutt Padikkal and Shimron Hetmyer helped power RR to score 210/6 in their 20 overs.


Prasidh Krishna and Trent Boult then wreaked havoc with new balls when SRH lost three wickets in Powerplay and was eventually capped at 149/6, leading to a convincing win for the Royals.

Krishna and Boult each took two wickets, while leg spinner star Yuzvendra Chahal claimed three scalps.
