IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians Create “13,000 Square Meters Bio-Secure MI Arena” For Players, Families And Support Staff

With IPL 2022 set to start on March 26, India Mumbai has set up an outdoor “bio-secure MI Arena” at Jio World Garden, in Mumbai. The 13,000 -square -foot “MI Arena” will serve exclusively as a recreational facility for players, their families, coaching staff and support staff. According to a statement from the franchise, the facility will help teams in bonding and it will also help cricketers “relax and have a balanced life”.

According to the statement, the ‘MI Arena’ will consist of team and individual areas. It will form part of the main bio-secure bubble.

In addition, the facility houses a futsal field, orange ball court, box cricket, foot volleyball, golf course, MI Battlefield, mini golf, MI Cafe and children’s zone.

“MI Arena was created to allow teams to connect and get to know each other better throughout the season, but also relax and unwind. The past 2 years have thrown in so many unique challenges but we are” One Family “and it is a priority and a responsibility MI to keep everyone safe and happy ”, an MI spokesperson was quoted as saying in a press release.


The Rohit Sharma -led team will play their first match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 27 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Ishan Kishan, in particular, will be hoping to put on a good performance from the start after being bought by the team for Rs 15.25 crore, making it the most expensive purchase in the 2022 IPL mega auction.
