IPL 2022: 5 Bowlers to Watch Out for

Players like Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are expected to be in the spotlight as bowlers in the Indian Premier League (IPL) next season 2022. The new IPL season is scheduled to start from March 26, with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Last season, bowlers made big changes for their teams with some amazing match winning successes. This year too, bowlers are expected to shine and fans will be looking forward to entertainment from pacers and spinners.

Here is a list of five bowlers to look out for in IPL 2022:

1. Jasprit Bumrah:The Mumbai (MI) Indian rider will be the focus from the start, given his pedigree in world cricket at the moment. Considered one of the best bowlers in modern day cricket, he has played for MI since his debut in 2013 and has taken 130 wickets in 106 games, at an economy of 7.40.

2. Pat Cummins:Re -joining KKR for Rs 7.25 crore, Cummins will aim to silence critics after several IPL displays below average in the past. Pacer has now gained a bit of momentum and most recently captained the Australian Tests. The winner of the match, the Australian bowler is hoping to impress this year.

3. Harshal Patel: The Purple Cap winner for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) last season, Harshal recorded a record of 32 wickets in 15 matches. After not being retained by RCB, he re -joined them for Rs 10.75 crore in a mega auction, at a base price of Rs 2 crore.

4. Rashid Khan:A versatile and one of the best players in world cricket at the moment, Rashid was selected by the new Gujarat Titans franchise before a mega auction for Rs 15 crore. He joined Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill. The versatile player has played in 76 IPL games and has taken 93 wickets. He has also registered 222 runs.

5. Kagiso Rabada:The South African rider joined the Kings of Punjab (PBKS) for a grand total of Rs 9.25 crore during the IPL 2022 auction. Rabada has taken 76 wickets in 50 IPL matches, including four shots on four wickets.
