The country’s first aluminum -body metro train, to be used by Pune Metro, was unveiled at an event held in Uttarpara, Kolkata on Saturday, Maha Metro said in a statement in Nagpur.
The train was released by Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs; Maha Metro MD Dr Brijesh Dixit, and others, he said.
Director (Rolling Stock) Shri Sunil Mathur and Titagad Wagons officials were clearly present at the event.

Maha Metro is a metro project implementing agency in Pune.
Two Pune metro project routes have been launched recently and passenger services on the remaining routes will start soon, Dr Dixit said.
