In conjunction with Aidilfitri, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players gathered to spend time with their loved ones at their team’s hotel. In the video posted on the social media page of four-time IPL champions such as MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali, Dwayne Bravo, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu and others can be seen indulging in food and other items. Family members of the cricketer also joined in and Dhoni, who returned as CSK captain after Ravindra Jadeja relinquished the top post, can be seen interacting with the children.

Dhoni was re -appointed as CSK captain after Jadeja relinquished the top post to focus on his own game. After Dhoni took over, CSK beat SRH on Sunday. With that win CSK now have six points from nine games with three wins.

The last time a change of captain took place in the middle of the IPL was in 2021 when Dinesh Karthik resigned and Eoin Morgan took over the reins of the KKR government. With his return as captain, Dhoni is now the oldest Indian captain in any T20 at the age of 40 years and 298 days. He overtook Rahul Dravid, who was once the captain of the Rajasthan Royals against India Mumbai in 2013 at the age of 40 years and 268 days.


Against SRH, CSK were asked to hit first and the team led by MS Dhoni recorded 202/2 in 20 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad played 99 shots while Devon Conway remained unbeaten at 85. Hyderabad got their first wicket after 17.5 overs when T Natarajan parried Gaikwad.

Mukesh Choudhary then took four wickets when CSK limited SRH to 189/6, recording a win of 13 runs.
