Coronavirus LIVE Update: The weekly positive rate of cases is now at 0.26 percent.

New Delhi:

India reported 975 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours with a daily positive case rate of 0.32 per cent, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said on Saturday. The weekly case positive rate was 0.26 percent.

The active case load in the country is 11,366 which is 0.03 per cent of the total cases, the health bulletin showed.

A total of 796 Covid patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number recovering since the start of the pandemic in the country to 4,25,07,834.

The current recovery rate is 98.76 percent.

Four patients lost their lives during this period. With this, the number of deaths in the country has increased to 5,21,747.

6,89,724 doses of Covid vaccine have been given in the last 24 hours with the number of vaccines given in the country increasing by 1,86,38,31,723.

Coronavirus LIVE Update: Covid Delhi Positiveness Up 26% Since Yesterday; 461 New Cases, 2 Deaths

Delhi today reported a COVID-19 positive rate of 5.33 per cent, up 26 per cent since yesterday. The positive rate is the number of cases detected per 100 tests.

The capital also reported 461 new cases today, up 26 percent since yesterday. Two people have died as a result of Covid in the past 24 hours, government data shows.

The increase in cases has caused concern among school students. Experts have also called for vaccination of children under 12 who have comorbidities.
