India on Thursday called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) President of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference for an invitation to attend a meeting of foreign ministers in Islamabad next week.
Arindam Bagchi, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, said New Delhi did not expect the OIC to promote actors and organizations involved in terrorism and counter-activities in India.
In a statement to the media, he said that he took India very seriously in order to overthrow the country’s unity and violate its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
It is very unfortunate that the OIC continues to guide the political agendas of a single member instead of focusing on important development activities, Mr Bagchi said, referring indirectly to Pakistan.
“We have repeatedly asked the OIC not to allow stakeholders to exploit the platform for commenting on India’s internal affairs,” he said.
Mr. Bagchi was answering a question about the OIC reports by inviting the President of the Hurriyat Conference of All Parties to a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Islamabad group on 22 and 23 March.
