Maharashtra crisis: Aaditya Thackeray says Uddhav Thackeray’s health is fine.

Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray stepped out of his house late at night amid a worsening scenario for Shiv Sena with the revolt against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray getting stronger day by day.

The Thackeray family moved into their ‘Matoshree’ family home from Chief Minister ‘Varsha’ official residence on Wednesday, as minister Eknath Shinde, who led a mega uprising while camping in BJP -ruled Assam, threatened to split the party and demand his leadership.

In a rather heated conversation, Aaditya Thackeray was heard asking the reporter if they had eaten. A voice was heard telling reporters to turn off their cameras as the minister told them he was not there to give any statement.

He further said Uddhav Thackeray’s health was fine, when asked about the Chief Minister suffering from Covid.

Aaditya Thackeray’s midnight chat with reporters took place amid a massive uprising in Shiv Sena, which threatened to overthrow the Sena-led Maharashtra government, Congress, and Nationalist Congress Party Sharad Pawar.

Camp Eknath Shinde has insisted that Sena’s alliance with the NCP and Congress is “inappropriate”, and it should restore its alliance with the BJP.

Mr Shinde, 58, has reached the critical number of MLAs, 37, needed to split the party in a rally without violating anti-defection laws. Its total strength is now 42.

Speaking to NDTV this morning, the rebel minister demanded the support of more than 50 MLAs, including nearly 40 of Shiv Sena’s 55 lawmakers.
