French President Emmanuel Macron Says He Is Ready To Hold Talks With Russian President Vladimir Putin On Ukraine

Macron said Europe “will do everything” to stop the war in Ukraine.


French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that he was ready to hold a dialogue with Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, on the war in Ukraine.

“There is uncertainty,” Macron told M6 broadcasters, citing the possibility of Russia using “unacceptable” weapons or attacking neighboring countries.

Speaking about the upcoming high-level meeting of Western allies in Brussels, Macron said: “We, France and Europe, will do everything to stop this war without entering it.”
