Former Disney director Robert Iger joins Akash Nigam-led Metaverse Firm Genesis

Former Disney director Robert Iger has accepted a position on the Genies metaverse platform. Iger, who has been the head of American entertainment for fifteen years, has officially joined the management of the web3 company in Los Angeles. As part of his work, the 71-year-old will work to integrate the world of entertainment and the virtual universe. Iger believes that the entertainment industry needs to enter the world of metaverse to create and sell digital elements. He is also an investor in Iger Genies.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and art, and Genies offers unique and compelling opportunities to harness the power of this combination to enable new forms of creativity, expression, and communication,” Fortun said Iger.

The official announcement of the development was shared on Twitter on March 14th.

Launched in 2017, Genies is a platform for creating avatars, led by Akash Nigam, the CEO of Indian origin. The company is registered in the United States and is headquartered in Venice, California.

The company is the official avatar producer for Universal Music Group and Warner Music, also offering top clients such as Justin Bieber and Cardi B.

Nigam greeted the former Disney leader with a twist on the metaverse, and turned him into a virtual avatar, dressed neatly in black.

“Our vision is ambitious and great. And it will consistently demand the sharpest and brightest thought in the world to help bring it to life. His insatiable curiosity directly overlaps with our passionate passion to bring avatars to everyone, ”said the 27-year-old Genies CEO.

Research reports expect the metabersion market opportunity to reach $ 800 billion (about $ 59.58.719 billion) by 2024.

In recent days, Indian entertainment labels like T-Series have also entered the metaverse space.

Previously, international artists such as Travis Scott, Justin Bieber, Marshmello and Ariana Grande have organized metaverse concerts, which have allowed their fans to be entertained without meeting the COVID-19 social exclusion rules.
