With the end of the Assembly elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh, the Center plans to proceed with the publication of photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on COVID-19 vaccination certificates in these states.
PM Modi’s photo was removed from vaccination certificates in five states – Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Manipur – on January 8, following the announcement of polling dates and implementation of the Model Code of Conduct.
Official sources told the Press Trust of India that Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has wanted the reprinting of the Prime Minister’s picture on the Covid vaccination certificate in these states as a priority.
“The necessary changes will be made to the Co-WIN platform to include the picture of the Prime Minister in the COVID-19 certificates issued to people in these five states,” the source told PTI news agency.
