Popular Indian singer Daler Mehndi has bought virtual land on the Indian -made Metaverse platform PartyNite and named it “Balle Balle Land”. It will soon have a Daler Mehndi Shop, which will sell merchandise as Non -Fungible Tokens or NFTs. The land was inaugurated on Holi. This comes months after Mehndi became the first Indian singer to perform in the Metaverse, as did Travis Scott, Justin Bieber, Marshmallow, and Ariana Grande. The singer has posted an update on the investment on his Instagram holder.
Instagram Mehndi now reads: “First Metaverse Man, Owner of Balle Balle Land | Creator Tunak Tunak & Tara Ra Ra | Singer | Composer | ”.
In an Instagram post on March 21, Mehndi said that all future events and music concerts will take place at “Balle Balle Land”.
“A special paintball arena has been planned. The Daler Mehndi shop will open here soon, ”said the post.
According to the official partynite.metaverse website, it is a “digital parallel universe, powered by a chain of blocks” where people can mingle with friends as customizable avatars, meet new people as well as join parties and events.
The platform also allows people to claim, print and sell playable digital collections also known as NFTs to make Metaverse more interactive.
The 54 -year -old celebrated Republic of India Day on January 26 with a special performance at Metaverse.
Music label T-Series also announced its entry into Metaverse in collaboration with Hungama TV in early January of this year. As part of the deal, Hungama will create NFT from an extensive catalog of new and existing Bollywood content nurtured by the T-Series.
Daler Mehndi became famous with his 1995 song ‘Bolo Ta Ra Ra ‘. He is famous for singing songs like ‘Tunak Tunak Tun ‘ and ‘Ho Jayegi Balle Balle ‘. She has sung songs in several Bollywood films including Biwi No 1, Baahubali: The Beginning, Dangal, Singh Is Kingg and ABCD 2 in other circles. She has also evaluated several singing reality shows.
