Congress leader Shashi Tharoor publishes “Parliamentary Fellowship” Selfie with Lok Sabha Bhagwant Mann

Bhagwant Mann will take office as Punjab’s chief minister on March 16.
New Delhi:
After the Aam Aadmi Party won a landslide victory in the Punjab Assembly elections, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor posted a selfie on Twitter today with Bhagwant Mann, the appointed Punjab Prime Minister. The main challenge for the AAP Congress was to punish the great old party in Punjab and remove the border state with a spectacular victory. Congress, which has ruled the state for the past five years, has been relegated to a distant second place, this time with a significant drop in its share of votes.
Mr Tharoor said many members of Congress congratulated Bhagwant Mann on his victory and his appointment as prime minister.
“Parliamentarians: Many @incIndian MPs came to Bhagwant Mannera to congratulate him on his election victory and his appointment as the Punjab CM. I had the pleasure of sharing my joy after sitting on the same bench in Lok Sabha for five years.”

He was one of the first opposition leaders to congratulate the AAP MP and Bhagwant Mann on the congress immediately after the results came out.
“Congratulations to @AamAadmiParty and my former Lok Sabha teammate BhagwantSingh Mann for their victory in Punjab,” he tweeted on March 11th.
Bhagwant Mann will take office as Congress Minister Charanjit Singh Channi of Punjab on March 16.
Congress won 18 seats and a 22.98 percent turnout. In 2017, the party won 77 seats in the assembly with a turnout of 38.5 percent of the vote.
