Congress Calls Meeting To Discuss Organizational Elections On Saturday

Congress is facing turmoil in 5 states – UP Uttarakhand Goa, Manipur and Punjab.

Congress has convened a meeting of the Secretary -General and is responsible on Saturday to discuss a variety of issues including organizational selection.

All the Secretaries General of the Indian Congress Committee and in charge will be present at the meeting which will be chaired by the Secretary General (organization) KC Venugopal.

The agenda for the meeting included, “Special Membership Drive, Organizational Elections and Planning a riot program.”

The leaders of the Congress party called the G-23 have pushed for internal reforms including the election of organizations within the party.

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday met G23 leaders Anand Sharma, Manish Tewari and Vivek Tankha at her residence in New Delhi as part of efforts to resolve deepening divisions within the party after Congressional elections in five states in the recently concluded Assembly. election.

While G-23 leaders are pushing for organizational change, Sonia Gandhi is understood to have said at the meeting that the necessary steps would be taken after the party’s August-September presidential election.

Citing Sonia Gandhi, the source said, “By August-September, the party’s presidential election will be over. Focus on that. I can make changes only to a certain extent at that time.”

Congress is facing turmoil in five states – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand Goa, Manipur and Punjab which recently went to the polls.
