Hero’s adventure bike took the crown ahead of TVS Raider 125.
The Hero XPulse 200 4V defeated the competition for the two-wheeled crown of the year
Herp’s entry-level adventure bike Xpulse 200 4V won top honors at the 2022 Carandbike Awards. Not only was he named the Motorcycle of the Year Adventure Motorcycle, he also won the prestigious Two Wheel of the Year award.
Launched in October last year, the Hero XPulse 200 4V switched to the use of the four-cylinder technology of the Hero Adventure Bike – the 4V. Previously the bike used a simpler two-valve configuration. Upgrading to 4V boosted power and torque above the old bike by boosting upgraded engines to 18.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
Other upgrades included a revised engine cooling system and a revised gear ratio to improve performance.
XPulse 200 4V competed against a number of powerful competitors as each competitor won a prize in one segment or another. TVS Raider – Suburban Bike of the Year – was a runner-up with other candidates, including the Royal Enfield Classic 350 – Modern Classic Bike of the Year, Performance Bike of the Year – Pulsar 250 and Scooter of the Year -.
