Rajasthan, which hosted the “Chintan Shivir” Congress last week, will now be the venue for the BJP’s top -level three -day meeting. The party’s top leaders will meet in the state capital Jaipur for an organizational and strategy session starting on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a virtual opening session at 10am, senior party leader Arun Singh said.
The meeting – which will be attended by more than 136 delegates including national office bearers, state party leaders and organizational secretaries – will be chaired by BJP president JP Nadda. The meeting will also be attended by former chief ministers and Union ministers.
Arun Singh said the three -day session would be preceded by a meeting of all secretaries -general. After PM Modi’s speech tomorrow, a meeting of top leaders will be chaired by Mr Nadda. On May 21, a meeting of all the secretaries general of the organization will be held.
Sources said the meeting, in addition to focusing on organizational issues, will also look at preparations for the upcoming chamber election network this year and beyond.
Elections are scheduled in Rajasthan next year. It will be preceded by voting in Gujarat.
For the party, the battlefield in Rajasthan will be crucial as it tries to bring various factions under one umbrella to overthrow the Congress, which has ruled the state.
Sources also said the leaders will also discuss strategies for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for 2024, the eight -year celebration of the Modi government and the strengthening of party organization at the stall level.
