Arvind Kejriwal Also Opposes BJP On MCD Delhi Survey

Arvind Kejriwal once again attacked the BJP over the “postponement” of municipal elections in Delhi

New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today attacked the BJP over the “postponement” of municipal elections, saying that the AAP would quit politics if the BJP made this poll conducted on time and won it.

The statement was made after the Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved a bill to unite three civic bodies – North, East and South – in Delhi.

“We (AAP) will leave politics if the BJP gets the MCD vote held (on time) and wins it,” Mr Kejriwal told reporters outside the Delhi Assembly.

He added, “The BJP says it is the largest political party in the world but it is feared by small parties and by -elections. I dare the BJP to survey the MCD in a timely manner.” Later, Kejriwal took to Twitter and said that postponing the election was an “insult to the martyrs”.

“The postponement of the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections by the BJP is an insult to the martyrs who have sacrificed to uphold democracy in the country by driving the British out of the country. Today they postponed the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections for fear of losing, tomorrow they will postpone the elections state and country, “Mr Kejriwal wrote on Twitter.
