James Cameron announced that the fourth instalment of Avatar had begun production.
James revealed the commencement of the production, during his appearance at the D23 Expo. He didn’t attend the event in person. He did send a video which provided updates on Avatar 4 and also on all the upcoming sequels of Avatar.
He joined the Expo virtually from New Zealand to give updates on the sequel to James Cameron’s 2009 film ‘Avatar’. He said that Avatar 3’s filming was continuing. He also revealed that Avatar 2 is currently in post-production, it’s “going well,”.
More than a decade after the first film’s release, the director screened 3D scenes from the upcoming film, ‘Avatar 2’, titled Avatar: The Way of the Water.
The video clip of Avatar 2 showed beautiful scenery from Pandora and some underwater sequences. A Na’vi swimming and watching a video of Sigourney Weaver’s ‘Dr. Grace Augustine’ will reportedly play a major role in the film. The second film is coming out on December 16, 2022.
