The United Nations Office of Human Rights on Tuesday said the latest civilian death toll in Ukraine has been 691 dead and 1,143 wounded since the Russian invasion began 20 days ago.

The death toll, which includes 48 children, killed at least 636 civilians on Monday by UN human rights monitors, according to a previous report from the country.

The United Nations says the actual civilian death toll is “considerably higher” due to intense hostilities and delays in several areas, including Izium in Kharkiv region, the southern city of Mariupol and Volnovakha in Donetsk region.
